UK Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from the 10th to the 16th of May in 2021. This year’s theme is nature and the environment.
It is clear that access to nature is crucial for our mental health, and millions of people discovered that during lockdowns in 2020.
This year’s campaign wants people to notice nature and try to make a habit of connecting to nature every day. Stop to listen to the birdsong, smell the freshly cut grass, take care of a house plant, notice any trees, flowers or animals nearby. Take a moment to appreciate these connections.
