Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND – Osteopath and Naturopath uses cranial, structural and visceral osteopathic techniques in a holistic manner, aiming to balance health. These techniques are low-invasive and may be used in all age groups.

Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND – Osteopath & Naturopath was as also trained in the principles of Functional Medicine by the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine – AFMCP-UK to further her knowledge on the application of the integrative and holistic approach to chronic diseases. She is available to treat patients of all ages.

She is also actively engaged in Osteopathic Research.

Osteopathy

After graduating from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London, Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND, Osteopath & Naturopath attended numerous post-graduate courses in cranial osteopathy and structural osteopathy. She has worked at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) and used to be on call at St John and St Elizabeth’s Birth Unit, treating new-born babies and mothers’ post-labour.

Having created a strong network with consultants, radiological centres and laboratories, Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND, Osteopath & Naturopath can refer patients on without delay if necessary.

Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND, Osteopath & Naturopath believes that it is important for her patients to learn how to maintain the changes achieved with osteopathic treatment and or Naturopathy, she also recommends Pilates’s teachers and personal trainers who can complement her work.

Autism Research

Dr Ioná Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND Osteopath & Naturopath has been awarded with a PhD in recognition of her work on the ‘Effectiveness of Visceral Osteopathic Treatment on Gastrointestinal Indicators and Behaviour Patterns in Autistic Children; Using Questionnaire and Biochemical Markers to Measure Outcomes’

Her PhD was awarded by University of Westminster in collaboration with King’s College Hospital, endorsed by the National Autistic Society (NAS) supported by BCOM and sponsored via British Naturopathic and Osteopathic Association (BNOA) grant.

Dr Bramati PhD was recognised at the ICAOR10 for her outstanding research. She was honoured with the Elsevier/International Conference on the Advancement of Osteopathic Research – New Researcher Prize.

International Speaker

Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND, Osteopath & Naturopath has been an international speaker at a variety of osteopathic conferences and her research has been published in scientific journals.

She is a former lecturer at BCOM and was an active member of the Brazilian Osteopathic Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio-2016 and is a research consultant the Brazilian Osteopathic Centre for Research and Advanced Techniques -COBRA.

About Dr Iona Bramati
PhD BSc (Hons) Ost. Med. DO, ND

In 2001, upon graduating in Osteopathy and Naturopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM), Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND Osteopath & Naturopath set up a private practice in London which she has been running ever since. At IBC care,  Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND Osteopath & Naturopath sees a wide variety of patients with a particular focus on paediatrics with especial interest in supporting autistic children.

Immediately upon graduating, Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND Osteopath & Naturopath took a role as a team member of the Osteopathic Centre for Children – London working as an osteopath treating new-born babies, children and mother’s post-labour. She was also part of the osteopathic team on call at St. Johns and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital – Birthing Unit, led by the gynaecologist consultant, Dr. Yehudi Gordon.

She then went on to further her studies attending numerous post-graduate courses in cranial,  and structural and visceral osteopathy. She has recently embarked on further training with the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine to further her knowledge on the application of the integrative and holistic approach to chronic diseases.

In 2006 she started a PhD research project at the University of Westminster-London/UK, in conjunction with BCOM, on her thesis titled – the ‘Effectiveness of Visceral Osteopathic Treatment on Gastrointestinal Indicators and Behaviour Patterns in Autistic Children; Using Questionnaire and Biochemical Markers to Measure Outcomes’. The project was granted collaboration with King’s College Hospital, London and was endorsed by The National Autistic Society – London (NAS) and sponsored by the British Naturopathic and Osteopathic Association.

She is also invited as a speaker in national and international conferences.

Further professional activities have included being the facilitator and an organiser of an international conference ICAOR10 Sao Paulo – Brazil, 2014.

Dr Bramati PhD, BSc (Hons) Ost Med, DO, ND Osteopath & Naturopath was also involved in facilitating the Brazilian Register of Osteopaths with the inclusion of international osteopaths in the Olympics Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.
