I’ve signed up for the 5×50 Challenge two years running. What is the 5×50 Challenge? This is an annual event designed to inspire people to get regular exercise by building teams in real life and in social media – and these teams go out and do 5 kilometers (or 30 minutes worth) of exercise a day for fifty days straight. The challenge begins 30th March.
You can walk, run, cycle, commute part of your journey on foot, chase kids around in the park – anything that gets you moving for 30 minutes per day. You can do it in three 10 minute chunks too ! You can sign up and join a team on the website, do it as a real life team, or do it on your own. You can even raise money for your chosen charity.
I’ll be posting about some of my activities and will write some tips for how to incorporate exercise into your urban lifestyle so you can join me in finishing this year’s 5×50 Challenge!
