Understanding Back Pain and Postural Imbalance

68.jpg

Back pain is one of the most common reasons people seek osteopathic care.
Whether caused by poor posture, stress, repetitive strain or lifestyle habits, discomfort in the back can affect how the entire body moves and functions.

Osteopathy focuses on restoring mobility, releasing tension and improving posture so that your spine, joints and muscles can work together efficiently.
By improving alignment and movement, you can experience lasting relief and prevent recurrence.

Good posture isn’t just about appearance — it’s essential for healthy circulation, breathing, digestion and energy.

Common Conditions Treated

Osteopathic care may help relieve:

General backache or chronic back pain

Postural tension and stiffness

Sciatica and nerve compression

Neck and shoulder pain from desk work or stress

Restricted mobility or joint stiffness

Muscle spasms and tension headaches

Pain related to scoliosis or uneven posture

Fatigue or discomfort linked to poor ergonomics

Treatment is always tailored to your individual needs, lifestyle and comfort level.

The IBCcare Approach

Dr Bramati, PhD uses a combination of structural, cranial and visceral osteopathic techniques to relieve pain, enhance mobility and restore the body’s natural alignment.
Each treatment plan is designed after a full assessment of posture, movement and lifestyle factors such as work habits, stress levels and exercise.

Where appropriate, you’ll also receive practical advice on:

Ergonomics and desk posture

Gentle exercises or stretches

Breathing and relaxation techniques

Nutrition and hydration to support musculoskeletal health

This integrated approach ensures that improvements last beyond the treatment room.
