Autism Support & Research
Autism Support & Research in London
At IBCcare in Marylebone, London, we provide personalised support to children with autism and their families. Our approach is grounded in research, with a special focus on the gut–brain connection and the integration of complementary therapies with mainstream medicine.
Research that Makes a Difference
Dr. Iona Bramati, PhD, is internationally recognised for her pioneering research on the effectiveness of visceral osteopathic treatment in autistic children. Her PhD, awarded by the University of Westminster in collaboration with King’s College Hospital and endorsed by the National Autistic Society, studied how osteopathic care can positively influence gastrointestinal health and behaviour patterns in autism.
This research was honoured with the Elsevier / International Conference on Advances in Osteopathic Research – New Researcher Prize (ICAOR10) and has been published in leading scientific journals.
Autism Health Hub®
To expand the impact of her work, Dr. Bramati founded the Autism Health Hub®, an online platform for parents and professionals.
For parents, it provides guidance from pre-diagnosis through post-diagnosis, offering clear, evidence-based information and access to supportive networks.
For health professionals, it offers CPD training opportunities to deepen their knowledge of autism and integrative therapies.
The mission of Autism Health Hub® is to create a bridge between families and healthcare professionals, ensuring children receive the best possible support to thrive.
How IBCcare Supports Families
Our integrative care for autism combines:
Osteopathy – gentle treatments to support posture, mobility and the nervous system.
Naturopathy – nutritional and lifestyle guidance tailored to each child.
Functional Medicine – identifying root causes, with a focus on gut health, immunity and the gut–brain connection.
We work alongside parents, carers and healthcare professionals to create holistic treatment pathways that complement conventional care.
International Training – The Bramati® Method
Dr. Bramati also developed the Bramati® Method, a model for integrative care in autism. This method has been taught internationally at leading osteopathic institutions across Europe, training professionals to better support autistic children through evidence-based, holistic practice.
Our research and practice have been featured
in leading medical publications and associations.
