Two osteopaths have been appointed to serve among 12 others as part of the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) Guideline development group. Steve Vogel and Dr Ian Berstein will be working with the group to develop guidelines for low back pain and sciatica which will go out for consultation in 2015. Low back pain guidelines already include offering a course of manual therapy.
NICE Guidelines are used by the NHS in helping to set and assess the treatment standards provided by NHS services in England.
